Elizabeth took the lift to the second level basement of Elysium Fields, strode through the labyrinthine corridors to one of the many offices. The other participants were seated at a conference table waiting for her.

“Good afternoon, ladies.” Elizabeth took her seat at the head of the table.

The three Sisters directly involved in the Tyburn Industries project murmured their hellos. The two thralls present remained silent as they had not been addressed: Billy, one of the Sisterhood’s internal accountants, and another man Elizabeth had not seen before, who must be Chris Spencer, the finance director of the target company.

Elizabeth noted that Candace was on time; an uncommon occurrence. A thorn in my side, she reflected, but also exceptional and invaluable. Both beautiful and deadly.

Aurora was a reliable operator – very competent and trustworthy.

And Christina – she was flowering nicely. Highly intelligent and her grounding in psychology would be worth taking further. The Sisterhood was always looking for ways to improve their seduction and enslavement techniques.

Elizabeth was not attending this meeting for what should be a simple interim review of a straightforward project. She actually needed to be here for a subsequent one-to-one with Christina, to personally assess how her new recruit was developing. She did not anticipate a problem.

For now, Elizabeth would ease the youngster into this formal meeting. “Update me on this bank manager we have acquired. Did you enjoy that assignment, Christina?”

“Oh,” Aurora looked flustered. “I actually did that one, Elizabeth. Christina has done so well in her previous acquisitions, I thought a bit more experience on the research front – James Rowney – would be more valuable.”

“Alright,” Elizabeth replied deliberately, noting the slight look of surprise on Christina’s face. Elizabeth realised she wasn’t being told the whole story by Aurora. Not to worry. Her girls liked their little games and secrets – she was sure it was inconsequential.

“So, everything satisfactory with the acquisition, Aurora?”

“Yes. He is a good one. Billy thinks we will get a bit more than an additional million per month on Tyburn.”

“Good.” Elizabeth was satisfied this new thrall would be a small but profitable asset. After the Tyburn project was completed, they would continue to bleed him dry via his lending powers until his superiors caught on to his incompetence, and dismiss or retire him early. His reward would be a lifetime of menial servitude to the Sisterhood.

“Christina, what was the research you were working on?”

Christina smiled. “The Rowney boy Aurora mentioned. He is a junior accounts person in Tyburn and is a bit too nosy. So we commissioned pre-emptive research on him. I have reviewed the information gathered – he is a twenty-four …”

Elizabeth interrupted her with a gentle wave of the hand. “I do not need the details, dear. As long as we are ready to make a move if he becomes a nuisance.”

Aurora and Christina nodded their assurance.

“Very good. Let us get on with the numbers. Billy – go ahead.”

Elizabeth listened patiently while the thrall methodically explained the up-to-date position on the financials.
